Current Research

I am presently gathering information pertaining to the history of the property, building and congregation of Temple Sinai.  I intend to publish more as I learn more. Much has been learned about the interesting history of this building and the Jewish influence in this Louisiana town from:

  1. Records housed in the Parish Clerk of Court's office
  2. Anne Butler's book, Three Generous Generations
  3. A booklet entitled, 4740 Prosperity Street
