The Triennial Torah Project
by Ross K. Nichols
Shalom and Welcome!
This project intends to survey, reconstruct and publish the
ancient lectionary system of Torah readings believed to be extant in the time of
Jesus of Nazareth, the first disciples, and Paul of Tarsus.
The goal of this project is to uncover the earliest strata of
the ancient practice of public Scripture reading from ancient sources and to
publish the results in a series of articles and charts that will enable
believers to use it in their public worship.
I have made use of the research of others in my own quest and
will note the sources I have used so that students can go to the original
sources and previous scholars' works at every turn.
For starters, please read my article on the
Public Reading of Scriptures.
Check back often as I am in the process of preparing my
research for publication on the web.
Also see the following chart of the Triennial Torah Readings.
